When landlords say furnished or equipped, what do they mean?

Published 29/09/2009 11.08 AM   |    Updated 08/02/2018 09.43 AM

Furnished usually means just the basics, fridge, chairs and tables, sofa, bed, wardrobe and stove are included.

Equipped means that sheets, blankets, cutlery and cooking equipment may be provided. These will not be provided if it is just "furnished".

Landlords may provide much more and some provide less. Every situation is going to be different.
