If I don't get into my preferred course, can I start a different course and then switch to my preferred one next year?

It is possible to apply to switch courses once you have completed a semester or more of university study. There are no guarantees that your application will be approved. You will need to have met the entry requirement for your desired course. Selection is based on your academic performance and you will be competing for entry with other applicants.
