Answer

Can I apply for Curtin's Medical degree if I didn't achieve 50 in each UMAT construct?

Updated 16/04/2018 01.11 PM

The minimum indicative UMAT score is 50 in each of the three constructs, with the exception of rural applicants who must achieve a minimum indicative total score of 150.

Applicants are ranked and selected for interview based on the weighted sum of their academic merit score (ATAR or equivalent) and their UMAT score in the ratio of 60:40.

Achieving a lower UMAT score does not prohibit students from putting an application in for the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Curtin, but it will affect a candidate's ranking.
