Will Curtin University's name change appear on my award certificate?

Updated 16/04/2018 01.10 PM

Curtin University of Technology is in the process of changing its name to Curtin University. The name change is part of an important shift to strengthen and clarify Curtin's brand. At this point in time Curtin University is a trading name and officially Curtin is still Curtin University of Technology.

Curtin University of Technology was founded under the Curtin University of Technology Act and to formally change our name the Act must also change. This requires a legislative process to take place which has not yet been officially approved through Parliament. Curtin can currently use the name Curtin University in promotional and contractual documentation but it needs to include the qualifying statement, "Curtin University is a trademark of Curtin University of Technology".

Students who graduate before the Act is approved will graduate with a degree from Curtin University of Technology.
